I feel like I was just writing Layla's 20 Month update, and now it's already time for her 21 Month post! November just flew by!
And this little girl just gets bigger and bigger, and cheesier and cheesier!
Layla is our sweet, spunky girl. She can turn on the cuteness one instant, and the sassiness the next. She also has a stubborn streak that could only have come from Kyle and I combined.
She's a talking machine, tells hilarious stories complete with big hand motions (none of which you can understand, of course), and is totally fearless, which can also be really dangerous.
She loves to do whatever Landon is doing, can count to ten with help (she knows 3, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10) and likes to spell her name on repeat - L - A - Y - L - A - Y - L - A and so on.
She loves to be outside, loves to watch the washing machine, loves to dance and sing, and getting a banana makes her whole day (she'd eat 5 a day if I let her).
She still loves to eat, likes to look at books and loves movies (her current favorites are Despicable Me2, Tangled, and The Croods). She loves doing the hand motions to "Itsy Bitsy Spider" and "If You're Happy and You Know It."
She's wearing all 24 month/2T clothes except some of her shorts which are still 18 month size (which would have been retired by now if we were living in freezing cold Kansas right now!)
Her hair is official long enough to clip a bow in even without a ponytail (VICTORY!)
Layla is still taking two naps a day usually, but I think she's moving towards only one afternoon nap. A lot of days she won't ever fall asleep in the morning, or if she takes a good morning nap it will take her forEVER to fall asleep in the afternoon. So probably in the nearish future we'll just make the official switch to one nap.
She adores that big brother of hers...
And loves taking selfies on our phones...
She is just a bundle of fun and we get so much joy from being her parents. Love you Layla Bug!
