Mason - 11 Months

So I started this post a couple of weeks ago and only got about 2 sentences written. Now that Mason's one year birthday is next week (sob), I better get a quick version of this month posted!

Doesn't he just look so grown up in the above picture? I just can't even believe how big he is!

So, Mason at 11 months:

Skills:

* Crawling at the speed of light

* Cruising around furniture/tables at nearly the speed of light

* Babbling away all the time

* Waves bye-bye, but not consistently on command because he's ornery like that

* Figured out he's tall enough to reach to the top edge of the dining table and pulls things off 

* Can stand alone, but will almost never do it because he'd just rather sit down

* No signs of walking yet (thank you)

Likes:

* Eating "people food," esp spaghetti sauce on rotini noodles, black beans ground chicken and rice, chicken and noodles with mashed potatoes, waffles & pancakes

* Playing with the toy kitchen

* Breaking into the shoe cabinet and chewing on the disgusting India dirty shoes

* Playing peek-a-boo

* Following Landon and Layla around

* Playing "catch" with Landon

* Mommy (I'm his favorite)

* Being tickled by Daddy, especially when Daddy has scratchy whiskers

* Drinking water from his sippy cup

* Dancing - he has two moves: the booty drop, and the side to side sway.

Dislikes:

* Being told no - he gets his feelings very hurt and wails to let you know it

* The little Puffs and Rice Rusks - so sad he doesn't like them anymore!

* Being left in his crib longer than he thinks is necessary

* When Landon and Layla won't let him play the iPad with them

* Late evenings

Schedule:

* He still goes to bed around 7 most days, and then he sleeps until 6ish, when he has a bottle and then goes back to bed - sometimes he falls back asleep until 7 or 7:30, and sometimes he just stays awake and talks to himself. But I always leave him in there until 7.

* He takes 2 naps most days, for 1 1/2-2 hours each (one a good day). On the bad days when he takes short naps, sometimes I try to squeeze in a 30 minute 3rd nap around 4:30, but he usually won't fall asleep.

* He has a bottle each time before he goes to sleep, and still eat pureed foods once or twice a day, plus snacks and if he can eat whatever we're having for dinner. 

That's our sweet boy! He's always smiling and on the go. We love him so much!
