Just Life...and a Funny Video

Just life as usual around here. Well, sort of life as usual...Wednesday night Kyle and I talked through our calendar/schedule for this semester, and let me say, it makes me tired just thinking about our schedule over these next few months. Between traveling for StuMo conferences/training events, traveling for support raising, traveling to see family, getting our house ready to put on the market and sell, getting details ready for India, plus everyday life on campus and as a family, (and then some), it is going to be one swamped semester.
And yet, it's just life! And I love living life with my favorite man and the world's two most adorable kiddos.

In child update news, in the week since I posted about Layla's 11 month update, she is now standing like it's her job and also learned to clap. All of a sudden last Sunday she decided to finally show off the fact that she apparently has been practicing standing alone in her crib, because it just clicked and she will stand for as long as you want her to now. She's still working on the coordination to start walking though because she mostly takes one step and then just falls forward to you. She also is pretty impressed with herself that she knows how to clap and is sure to look and make sure we're watching and cheering for her when she does it =)

Landon is talking up a storm now and saying more and more full sentences. He's also added "You're Welcome" to his vocabulary, except that he typically says both - "Thank you...you're welcome" to himself.
Landon also has his first official friend...he's "friends" with his cousins and the other little staff kids, but they're all girls, so he hasn't really super bonded with them yet. But now Dalton is his little bud. I'll post more about that later.

With the bipolar weather we've been alternating between taking trips to the park and staying inside looking at books, coloring, building forts, and my personal favorite, teaching Landon to make chocolate chip cookies.

"A cookie!!!!!"

Pics of our other adventures:

Warming Layla up when she was shivering after taking a walk in the not as warm of weather as I thought it would be, and then a bath. She was shivering and had purple lips! oops!!

Our snow day!

Landon hated the snow. He wanted nothing to do with the snow. He just cried anytime I forced him to walk out in it. He still wanted to play outside and just throw the ball around on the driveway but refused to play in the snow, so we went back inside. And now that I know playing in the snow holds no appeal to Landon, I'm officially ready for official spring and no more snow storms.

And just for a good laugh, here's a video from our time with my parents in Wichita. My mom was beating on the ground and Landon was mimicking her and getting sooo into it. All the extended family was over and we were all DYING of laughter. The more you watch it the funnier it is.
