I thought I'd post some pictures of some of my friends here in India! I've been able to meet lots of really fun girls since I've been here. They are so welcoming and friendly; we just walk up to them in malls or on college campuses or anywhere really & start talking to them, and they're so friendly and willing to talk! They're always eager to share their favorite places to visit or things we should do while we're here. It's been so fun!
Priyanka & Sruthi, two of the first girls I met here!
Emma and me with Sahithi and Barkha at a coffee shop that totally could pass for an American coffeeshop!
The next week we met up with Sahithi again and this time she got to meet Landon! She was in love :) Then again, who isn't in love with that sweet face?
Sahithi took us to try on sarees, one of the main things I wanted to do while here!! It was so fun. They are incredibly difficult to put on because it's one enormous piece of fabric wrapped all around you in different ways. There's no way I'd ever be able to do it on my own!
There are soooooo many to choose from - this is just one tiny portion of the wall filled with all different kinds of sarees. The guy working there kept pulling out one after one piling them on top of each other...it was so hard to choose!
Sahithi picked this one out for me to try on. And then we convinced her to put one on too!
Then I tried this one on, which I liked a little better - I didn't like the green in the other one. But I didn't wind up buying either one. I REALLY want to get one, but they cost around $60-80 American dollars, and I feel like that's a lot to spend on something that I won't ever wear back home. Who knows, maybe I'll get one anyway, because they sure are beautiful! That was definitely one of my highlights of being here so far :)

I love that you're embracing the culture and making local friends as well. You look absolutely gorgeous in that saree my friend.
