So, I clearly missed Landon's 10 month pictures/post. The day he turned 10 months old we flew to Goa, India for our 4 day debrief trip with our India team, and the pictures just got lost in the shuffle of traveling. So instead, a couple of days ago I took his 10 1/2 month pictures!
But having a 10 1/2 month old who never sits still made it a little hard to get good pictures. We tried a few different posing techniques:
First I tried pinning the sign to the couch and the sitting him under it. Sort of worked except that he was NOT happy to be sitting on the couch, so that didn't last long.
Since he can stand now, we tried propping up the sign and then having him stand next to it. His face tells you what he thought of that idea.
Then we went back to putting the sign on the ground in front of him, but he mostly either grabbed the sign (as always) or just tried to crawl away. Oh well, you get the idea at least! For his 10 1/2 month pictures he's wearing his world map shirt that 2 of the girls bought for him in India. It's a map of the world with little pictures of major landmarks around the world. It's so cute! So since his 10 month pics were supposed to be taken in India, we just represented with the shirt.
You already know a lot of this 10 1/2 month old boy's new tricks. He's crawling ALL over the place, getting into everything, and pulling up on anything that he *thinks* will hold still, which has gotten him into trouble a few times. To try to contain him, we had to put up a baby gate in the doorway to our kitchen. The stairs to our basement are in the kitchen, and the slats of the railing are far enough apart that he would be able to fit through them and fall down the stairs, so rather than try to fix that, we just made the whole kitchen off limits.
Thankfully, for now he views the gate as another toy to pull up on, so he thinks it's fun! We'll see how long that lasts.
You'd think he would be overjoyed about having such a variety of toys to play with now that we're back at home (which he is). However, his favorite things to play with?
Paper, and our shoes. Oh Landon.
This picture is just funny:
Cheerios in one hand, very watered down apple juice in the other hand. Now that's the life.
And our 10 1/2 month old boy got to see Grandpa & Grandma for the first time since India! They came up to visit for the day on Saturday and we had lots of fun. Landon tried his first bite of a Freddy's hamburger, thanks to Grandpa. It was a winner.

And there you have it! Our big BIG boy, I can't even believe it! Love you Landon!

He is adorable! I can't believe how fast they are growing! And I so know all about not staying still to take a picture, and about having a million toys around but wanting to play with things that you're not supposed to and make a mess instead.
I keep telling myself that it's a sign of good development :-)
we loved getting to see our boy! already looking forward to the next time! :D
He has grown so much since we saw him last! M misses playing with him for sure! Give him some pats on the head from her and a hug from me :)
