Home Sweet Home

We are officially home and it feels great! We got home Sunday night after stopping for dinner with Kyle's parents and my sister & her family after Kyle's dad picked us up at the airport. It was great to see some of our family for awhile, and then great to walk in the door of our house!

I wondered all summer whether or not Landon would remember our house, or if he was too young and we were gone too long for him to remember. When we got home and I walked him around the house, he was smiling really big and acted really excited. So I like to think that he was happy to be home!

Landon has been loving life at home! He's crawling all over the place, playing with toys, and especially pulling up on EVERYTHING.

I could be wrong, but I feel like he's going to be walking soon because he sure loves standing!

While I've been making dinner the past couple of nights I put Landon back in his jumperoo in the kitchen with me, and surprise, he still likes it!

He especially likes that he can finally reach those toys dangling from the top of the jumperoo.

(and yes, he is not wearing clothes in these pictures. did I mention that it's about 20 degrees hotter here at home than it was in India?)

Landon's other favorite thing about being home is new snacks! We all know that food is the highlight and passion of this boy's life. Now that we're back he's been eating Cheerios and Goldfish, which he thinks are just delicious. When we give him the Cheerios we put them in his little snack bowl that has the lid he can reach through that is supposed to keep the snacks from spilling everywhere. That would hypothetically work if he didn't use the snack bowl like this:

He likes to reach in but then leave his hand in and crawl around or pull up on things. He's like a pirate with a hook on his hand! The unfortunate (or maybe fortunate for him) result is that often the Cheerios come cascading out as he turns the bowl upside down and spill all over the floor. Perhaps he's just a genius?
