Yesterday was a BIG day, because it was Landon's First Birthday Party!!!
Lots of our family and a few friends came to help us celebrate! Even though I technically still have a few hours till his actual birthday, it's hard to believe that a year has already flown by with my little Punkin! He got spoiled with lots of attention, and lots of new toys (and thankfully lots of great new clothes!! He wasn't as interested in those as I was). Here are some pictures of our wonderful celebration!
Decorations:
 |
| The cake! So delicious |
 |
| "Collage" of all of his month photos from the year |
 |
| Crazy to see how much he has changed! |
Opening presents:
 |
| He even pulled some of the paper off! |
 |
| New puppet books!! |
 |
| Cousins hovering right around :) |
 |
| I love my new blocks!! |
And the BEST part of all...the CAKE!! I was so, so hopeful that Landon would really tear into his cake, because of course that makes it more fun (at my niece Alycen's first birthday last summer, she wouldn't touch the cake; we had to feed it to her with a fork!). I figured he probably would considering how much he normally attacks food, and let's just say he didn't disappoint!!

| Mmmmm, that tastes pretty good |
 |
| After several bites of globs of frosting, he got down into the actual cake! |

| This is the best thing I've ever had in my life |
I seriously think Landon would have eaten the entire cake if we would have let him. He was living the dream for sure. So we finally had to cut him off, because no 1 year old needs THAT much sugar, especially when it's the first time! Here's the cake after we decided he was done with it:
We're saving it to let him have some more on his real birthday tomorrow (Note: he will NOT get to eat the rest of it, and we'll feed it to him with a fork this time!!)
My messy little punkin. He was carried straight to the bathtub after his first cake experience. I think those were the happiest 5 to 8 minutes of his whole life so far. And just in case you were wondering, yes, blue frosting does make for blueish tinted poop. GROSS diaper changes today.
And here's my precious family of three. Hard to believe that he wasn't even here one year ago!
All in all, it was a fun day, a wonderful time with family, and a great celebration of our firstborn!! We love you Landon!
And for your viewing pleasure, a short video of his cake eating extravaganza:
P.S. To all of you out there in the blog world, if anyone could tell me how to make the post put some of the pictures side by side instead of all in one long vertical line, making for a very long vertical post, I would be most appreciative!

LOVE IT! I think if you just drag the pictures, you can put them wherever you want, space permitting. :)

I wish I could help you with the foto posting, but I have long given up on that one. I got more and more mad with it, and now the only time I do put them side by side is in pinterest.
