* This weekend we went to Kansas City to visit Kyle's parents, grandma, and my sister's family. Layla got to meet her great Grandma for the first time
And she also snuggled a lot with Nana.
On Saturday evening Layla gave her new cousin a pep talk about what life is like in the world.
| As uncomfortable as it looks, she was dead asleep =) |
* Sunday after church we went to Red Lobster for lunch
Landon ate an entire cheddar bay biscuit, his whole side of kids' meal broccoli, an entire chicken finger, four of Kyle's french fries, and three bites of Nana's baked potato. He probably would have kept eating but we cut him off.
*Yesterday Landon took a 2 1/2 hour morning nap & I finally woke him up to eat lunch. Then he slept for over 3 hours in the afternoon. Whoa.

* Last night we had a group of girls over for dinner. They're all going to be some of our student leaders at our Kaleo summer project, so they'll each be leading 2-3 girls for the summer, and this is the team of leaders that I'll help lead and advise. Landon was excited because he had an audience to show off for, and because we had chicken pot pie for dinner. Layla liked having so many people to hold her (she also spit up on 3 of them, just to initiate them properly)
* This morning Landon woke up way early at 7:15 for who knows what reason (even though he went to bed late at 9:15 last night). So he wasn't in the best of moods, and at about 9:00 he knocked over a folding chair that was leaning against the table from dinner last night. It didn't hit him but scared him so he was crying inconsolably. I asked him if he was ready for a nap, and he walked over to Layla's bouncy seat, put his hand right in front of her face, and started waving vigorously while saying "night night" over and over. I guess that was a yes.
* Layla has been giving us LOTS of beautiful smiles recently
You can't help but just smile in return, huh?
