I feel like Landon & Layla are constantly learning and doing new things lately. They sure keep life interesting and exciting.
About two weeks ago Landon was playing by himself and all of a sudden I heard him count to ten. It's something we've worked with him on and he's counted along with us giving him help, but it was the first time I heard him voluntarily count to ten solo. Now he loves pointing to things and counting, although he does skip over numbers sometimes.

Landon also figured out how to pull stickers off of the sheet for himself. Revolutionary.
He likes to take off every single sticker from the sheet and put them all in one big pile on the paper.
He continues to figure out more and more words and phrases. Lately if I start leaving the room without him he comes running after me going, "Wait! Wait!"
Landon is on a huge book kick right now and loves reading. It's such a pleasant surprise when he's being suspiciously quiet and I find him looking at books by himself.

Layla has continued waving like crazy and it's just so cute. She has always liked music and has grooved a little bit, but this week she has really started dancing!
She's also starting to really like looking at books. Yesterday she was looking at a baby animals book with Grandma and actually sounded like she was repeating "Quack!" while looking at the ducks!
Little Love has also figured out how to climb up the stairs.
Oh Layla, aren't you a little young for this mischief?
Of course now she's following in her brother's ornery footsteps and is constantly trying to sneak over to the staircase at my parents' house.
We've been doing lots of traveling (again) lately. We were down in Oklahoma for our winter conference, then home for a few days, and then we were up in KC for a wedding, and now Kyle is out of town for 11 days so the kids and I came to Wichita on Sunday to stay with my parents for a week of that time. It's helping the time he's gone go a lot more quickly not being home alone with the kids all by myself! We've been having a good time so far, even though Layla came down with a cold overnight on Saturday while we were in KC (she was awake Saturday night/Sunday morning from midnight until 5 a.m. FIVE HOURS! That means I got about 3 hours of sleep that night before having to make the 3 hour drive to Wichita with the kids by myself. Needless to say, I drove through to get coffee at the start of the drive).
Layla spent the first couple of days a stuffed up sick little girl :( I think this was her worst cold she's had so far. She was so congested on Monday that she was having trouble napping. Thankfully Grandma was to the rescue and held her upright while she slept for an hour and a half.
Layla is back to her happy self today though, which we're all very happy about. So we're having fun seeing family!

| Snuggling with Grandpa |
Landon is extra happy because Grandpa gets him Lamar's donuts for breakfast. (I'm also happy, Lamar's donuts are the best donuts everrrrrrrr). Anytime we come to my parents' house when Landon wakes up the first thing he says is "PePaw? Nonuts?" Spoiled? I'd say so!
Today was 50 degrees out so after Landon woke up from his nap we got to play outside for almost an hour. He was in heaven.
Here he is "jumping" on our neighbor's trampoline:
He threw a fit when we came inside, not surprising.
Well, this kind of turned into a random catch up post, but, oh well! There's the life update of Landon & Layla!
