Mason - 9 Months

It finally happened...what I swore would never happen.

I missed one of Mason's monthly updates.

*facepalm*

Argh, my poor third born! Life has just been craaaaaaaaazy lately (aka my parents in town, then lots of traveling, on top of everyday life!) So, I'm sorry, Mason, I missed your 8 month update.
Well here was Mason at 8 months:

And now here we are at 9 months (I should say were...this is also a couple weeks late):

We were in Thailand for Mason's 9 month birthday, which is kind of ironic, because we were actually in India for Landon's 9 month birthday!

Mason is basically all over the place and into everything. He speed crawls everywhere, pulls up on everything, cruises around furniture and tables, and does everything in his power to keep up with Landon and Layla. He's getting better about not tipping over and bonking his head on the marble floors, but it still happens occasionally. His worst spill so far was when he was standing up at the coffee table and fell backwards. Poor baby :(

Mason has SIX teeth already (this is craziness). He babbles and giggles constantly. He knows when he's doing something he's not supposed to and I say, "Masoooooon," and he looks back at me with the most ornery smile on his face. He's like his sister in that regard!

Mason loves to eat, and he tends to like vegetables more than fruits (I know, what?) He still loves pumpkin in everything, and also really likes sweet potatoes. He loves to eat finger foods like the little Puffs (thanks to my parents for bringing over like 8 containers!), little pieces of toast, or the Rice Rusk snacks are his absolute favorite.
Don't you think about touching my rice rusk

Mmmm toast
Mason is doing better at sleeping, although he doesn't get any championship awards. He's doing better napping during the day - one of the two or three naps he takes is usually 2 hours long. He's still my early to bed boy, and goes to sleep around 7 most nights. He then usually wakes up around 4-5ish to eat, and then goes back to sleep till maybe 7, sometimes 8 if I'm lucky.
The motor on our swing broke (curse you, Fisher Price!), so he hasn't slept in the swing in a good month and a half, which actually makes me a little sad.

Overall, Mason is just such a happy baby. People comment all the time about his good disposition, and it's really true. He only gets really mad when he's tired, most of the time. We sure love him to pieces!
