The One I Love Most

This post is dedicated to the person I love the MOST in the world...my wonderful husband Kyle! 

I know that usually I just post updates about Landon, but my friend Megan answered this set of questions on her blog, and I thought it was fun, so here's my version! 

How long have you been together?

We've been together for a total of almost 6 years - dated for almost a year, engaged for 5 months, and now married for 4 years and 3 1/2 months! 

How long did you know each other before you started dating?

We had known each other for 3 years - we met our freshman year of college & started dating our senior year

Where did you meet?

At college through the campus ministry we were both involved in.

Did you go to the same school?

Same college, not same high school.

Who is the most sensitive?

Me. No question about it. I'm off the charts Feeler, and get my feelings hurt way more easily than Kyle does!

We're engaged!

What about pets?

That's a big zero, and probably will be all our lives. Kyle is allergic to cats & dogs, we would make terrible pet owners because we're out of town all the time. And I think any pet other than a dog is worthless, so no pets for us!

 

Where do you eat out most as a couple?

We eat out once a week on our Wednesday date night, and we like to change it up. Probably our favorite is Olive Garden or Houlihans when we have gift cards!

Where is the furthest you two have traveled together as a couple?

Probably Jacksonville, Florida for our summer project. Although in just a couple of months the answer will be India!

 

 

Who has the worst temper?

I don't think either of us really has much of a temper. If I had to answer though, I'd sadly have to say me. I always thought I wasn't an angry person, until I got married, and then realized how easily my feathers can get ruffled!

Who does the cooking?

Me! I love love LOVE to cook, so I very much enjoy cooking. Although grilling is delegated to Kyle. I burn things when I try to grill.

Who is more social?

We're both abnormally very social, though I'd say Kyle is maybe the slightest bit more social than me. He can talk/relate to ANYONE!

One year anniversary

Who is the neat freak?

Neither of us would get the official "neat freak" stamp. Though I'm more ok with clutter than Kyle is.

Who is the most stubborn?

Kyle says he is the most stubborn. But I think I can match him in stubbornness given the right topic.

Who hogs the bed?

Neither of us really hog the bed, but the COMFORTER always seems to get pulled significantly more to Kyle's side...which he denies.

Who wakes up earlier?

It depends on the day and who has early appointments with students, and when Landon wakes up.

Where was your first date?

We went out to coffee a few times after we started "dating" but our first what I would consider a date where Kyle really planned an evening out was in February of 2006, about 6 months after we had started dating! (our relationship was slightly atypical, as you may have guessed)

How long did it take to get serious?

Well, as soon as we started "dating" we were instantly "serious" in the general sense of the term. We never ever talked about marriage or the future together till Kyle proposed, but we both knew that neither of us dated just for the sake of fun dating, so we both basically knew that marriage is where we were headed. It did take us quite awhile to start dating though; we liked each other for a year and a half before we started dating because we wanted to wait for God's timing for a relationship!

Who eats more?

Ever since being pregnant/nursing Landon, me, sadly.

Who does the laundry?

Me again! I have the privilege of being a stay at home mom (who also does some ministry on campus) so I get to do all the household chores. And I LOVE my life!

Who drives when you are together?

Kyle, unless he has something he really needs to get done, and then I will for awhile.

Who is the first one to admit when they’re wrong?

Admit they're wrong? You mean like fighting?! We don't do that!

Just kidding...it's probably about 50/50 of who admits they were wrong first. We're both trying to grow in using the actual words "I was wrong." So much harder to say than just "I'm sorry."!

Who wears the pants in the relationship?

Kyle, absolutely! That's the way I always want it. He always wants my input/opinions, but I'm very glad to follow such a godly man as my leader!

Who eats more sweets?

Sigh. Me. Times a thousand. Kyle is much more of a salty versus sweet person. It makes me sad, because I love to bake, and I love to eat baked goods, so unfortunately I wind up eating almost all of what I bake, which makes me feel like the fat kid in our relationship!!
