15 Months!

Don't miss my last post with cute Christmas pictures of Landon!

But now we have a 15 month old boy on our hands!

I think I am pretty much giving up on taking his month pictures with a sign. It clearly isn't going well anymore. Maybe we can pick it back up again in a few months when he understands holding the paper up for the picture :)

Landon had his 15 month checkup on Friday and the doctor said he's looking great! He was actually very cooperative for his appointment and had a grand time running around the room in just his diaper while we waited for the doctor to come in after the nurse left.
Landon weighed 25 lbs. 8 oz. which put him in the 65th percentile for weight, and he was 31 inches tall which was the 49th percentile. Our little linebacker is also very smart as he was in the 75th percentile for head circumference. =) Unfortunately he also had to get 3 shots, which I was not prepared for, but thankfully they said he won't get anymore clusters of shots until kindergarten! He's wearing 18 month size clothes, although he has short little legs so all of the 18 month pants are still a few inches too long (thus the rolled up jeans in his 15 month pictures)

Landon's sleeping habits are still almost exactly the same as they were at 14 months. He's still my good sleeper!

I know I'm very biased, but I happen to think that Landon is SO smart! He's still not saying many words outside of  oh yeah, oh my, oh wow, and woah (which the doctor said was totally normal) but he is understanding so much of what we say. If we ask him "Where's Puppy?" he'll go look around till he finds him, or he'll go get his ball or shoes etc. on command. If I ask him "Are you hungry?" or "Do you want a cracker?" he does his version of nodding his head (which looks more like an uncoordinated combo of shaking his head and nodding) and runs over to the gate by the kitchen. He'll do the same head nod if you ask if he wants a bite or other questions he's answering yes.
Speaking of the gate, here he is licking it:
Kyle says it reminds him of the movie A Christmas Story. I haven't actually seen the movie so I can't say it reminds me of it, but I believe him!
He's also running pretty well now, and he plays by himself really well. He loves playing with his Little People Zoo and still loves reading. He's also recently started enjoying playing with his blocks again (he kind of forgot about them for awhile) but he is so much more coordinated playing with them now. Remember these videos of him playing with the blocks back in October? Well here he is now:
He actually understands the concept of building now, and not just putting two blocks together and taking them back apart over and over. He'll need some foundation and structure tutorials before he gets his construction science degree, but he entertains himself building for long periods of time now!

He still loves Gnomeo:
He was so enthralled watching it before bedtime that he let me change his diaper and change him into his jammies while he continued watching, then didn't move a muscle even after we were done!
I'm excited to see how he continues to grow and learn; it's one of the best parts about being a parent!
We love you our little 15 month old!!
