30 Weeks!

Well, I thought about not posting a pregnancy update this week since I just posted last night about Christmas, but then I realized that I skipped posting last week at 29 weeks, so I decided our Little Miss better get a little air time too! So here we are at 30 Weeks!

Please pardon the disheveled hair. My wonderful husband gave me another part of my birthday/Christmas present and sent me to get a prenatal massage today! We actually have a massage therapy school here in town so you can get an hour massage for $30 - incredible! So I put my hair up and never took it back down.
And just for fun, check out one of my first pregnancy photos I took at 17 weeks:
Isn't it crazy what a big difference 13 short weeks will make?! I've decided that the trend in my pregnancies is that I tend not to really show all that much for several weeks, but then all of a sudden around week 22ish my baby bump starts growing massively quickly!

Foods: I definitely enjoyed the Christmas holidays and all the yummy food that means! If it's even possible I just keep getting hungrier and have to eat more frequently throughout the day. On the one hand it's great, but on the other hand it's kind of annoying having to constantly find snacks
Best moment this week: Getting to celebrate Christmas!! See previous post :)  Oh, and getting my birthday necklace from Kyle. Somehow seeing Little Miss' name in writing in such a permanent way made it all seem even more real.
Movement: Um ALL the time! I'm not sure if I just am not remembering Landon's pregnancy, but I remember he moved a lot, but it seems like she moves more! And she's getting big enough now that I can feel her kicking simultaneously on both sides of my stomach.
Labor signs: Sometimes by the end of the day when I've been active a lot I can feel my stomach feeling tight, but I think that's more just my muscles being tired and sore than any official Braxton Hicks contractions yet.
What I miss: Sleeping solidly through the night. All of a sudden having a harder time getting comfortable and waking up frequently.
How I'm feeling: Emotionally, I'm feeling 2 parts excited and 1 part denial. I'm so excited for my little girl, but there's still a part of me that has a hard time wrapping my mind around the fact that we're actually going to have another BABY soon. Physically, this past week it's like my body suddenly realized it's the third trimester and all the associated aches have kicked in - occasional heartburn, a really sore lower back, starting to not sleep as well due to sore hips. But I know it's all going to be worth it, so I don't really care!
Milestones: I feel like week 30 is a milestone in and of itself. Only TEN weeks left? When did that happen?! 30 just seems like such a close number to 40! This time around I'm actually hoping she doesn't come as early as Landon did, or we'd only have 8 weeks left, yikes! (not to mention we already have her March birthstone on my necklace, ha!)

This reminds me that I need to get a massage too! I have a gift certificate from last year, and it's about to expire :-)
You look as adorable as ever woman. Pregnancy and you look good together :-) You're SO close. I can't even believe how fast it's gone by. How are the updates on her room going?
