Feeling Christmas-y

Christmas is just around the corner and we are SO excited!!
Having a house full of Christmas decorations just automatically puts me in a good mood, especially in the evenings when all the lights look so beautifully peaceful.
I'm convinced that Christmas automatically makes your house look prettier, more welcoming and just happy!
Landon for one LOVES the Christmas tree. And thankfully he hasn't tried to pull it over or chop it down. The tree does look a little funny having an absence of ornaments for the bottom two feet, but that doesn't bother Landon.
"Oh wow!!"
Landon even made sure Puppy got to look at the Christmas tree.

And then there was the day Landon decided that Puppy would look good as an ornament ON the tree.

Thanks to some Christmas shopping and wrapping I did Thursday night, our tree now actually has gifts under it!

We're listening to Christmas music almost constantly (much to Kyle's joy) and Landon loves showing off his dance moves to some Manheimm Steamroller Christmas music. In fact, he's so in the Christmas spirit, that sometimes he decides to start dancing when there's no music at all!

Landon has even let us opt out on Gnomeo and Juliet a couple of times in order to watch some short Pixar Christmas cartoons on Netflix (from famous Pixar movies like Madagascar, How to Train Your Dragon and Shrek).
After Landon went to bed last night, Kyle and I enjoyed some homemade hot chocolate with marshmallows from a Pinterest recipe I found here. You actually make and freeze these little balls of chocolate ganache and then microwave them with milk when you're ready to drink.
It was delicious! Now that I'm a die hard coffee drinker, I usually don't drink hot chocolate much anymore because I miss the coffee taste, but something about Christmas makes hot chocolate a must (although I'd still rather have a Starbucks Peppermint Mocha. Mmmm)
We're excited to head to my parents' house on Thursday to celebrate my birthday and then celebrate Christmas with all of our wonderful family. I just love this season of celebrating Jesus coming to the world to bridge our relationship with God, especially since it means seeing all the people I love most!
Merry Christmas early!

Don't you love this time of year with all of the decorations and music?! Landon is so cute looking at the Christmas tree and trying to hang his stuffed animal on it. How much fun to experience Christmas through your child's eyes. =)
