So, it's just a little on the toasty side in our parts. Kansas isn't exactly the friendliest of states during the summer, especially if you ask our lawn. So we've been trying to find ways to keep cool.
Last weekend when we were in KC we got to swim in Papa & Nana's pool.
It was Layla's first time swimming! As you can see, she thought it was pretty neat.
More than anything I just wanted to dress her up in her adorable swimsuit. Everything is cuter for babies, ESPECIALLY swim suits.

Earlier this week we took Landon to the splash park. A couple of years ago in our City Park they put in a new pool but also installed this incredible free splash park. I was so excited to take Landon there because I was just sure he would think it was cool, so much better than the fountains in Gulf Shores this summer.
Still no luck. He wanted nothing to do with the splash park, but just wanted to run over to the normal playground equipment.
Kyle trying to convince Landon that the splash park is the best option when it's 104 degrees out.
We finally gave in and just let him go play on the playground. We went in the evening, so it was not actually 104 out anymore, probably more like 91.
So since the splash park was not a raving success, the past couple of nights we've escaped the house and gone somewhere indoors to just walk around and be a little bit active. Two nights ago we walked around the mall, and last night we just wandered around WalMart. Is it lame when your evening activity is to mosey the aisles of WalMart??
Oh well, we'll happily use someone else's air conditioning for awhile.

107 degrees?!?! Are you melting out there??? We are in the mid to high 90's and I've been dying lately.
Layla looks way too cute in her little swimsuit, you're right everything is cuter for babies
Oh my goodness...that IS hot. And I thought being 98 degrees here in Rhode Island was hot. I hope you are all keeping cool. It definitely helps to have a pool around. We keep going to my inlaws for a dip in the pool.
I have been refusing to get out. It's in the high 90s over here right now, but it's still too bloody hot. In the beginning of summer I used to take giada to the water park a lot and she loved it, but I think I would die if I had to be in that sun right now.
Too bad your little man want's nothing to do with water. You guys are all such a cute family.
