So, you may have noticed that recently the weather has been a little bipolar (nothing new there). This has created all sorts of fun for us.
No Heat? No Problem!
First off, our furnace decided to die Tuesday the 15. Praise the Lord that it happened then and not the week of negative degree weather! Thursday the 17 happened to be in the 70s, so Landon enjoyed his first time "playing" outside (aka Mom spread out a blanket on the ground & we sat there)

So Landon got to have his first real outdoor adventure in February, thanks to the Kansas weather.
But as we all know, Kansas weather is too unreliable to stay nice for too long, so by the time we returned home from the wives' retreat Sunday night, it was back to 30 degrees, which meant Monday morning we woke up to a 57 degree house! (don't worry, there was a space heater in Landon's room, I'm not a bad mom).
Monday all day the heater men were here installing our new furnace, so that meant Landon & I hung out in my bedroom with a space heater on all day.
Landon played in Mom's room...
And slept in Mom's room...
And Daddy even came back to play with him at one point!
So we had a great week together.
And now our new furnace heats better than ever.
...Just in time for 5 inches of snow yesterday.

I feel your pain on the no heater situation. Ours went out for a day too, on one of the cold days. Luckily, we got same day service. I just really dislike paying for "adult" stuff like that. (as opposed to spending money on fun things)
