36 Weeks

Can you even believe I'm already at 36 weeks?!?! Because I sure can't! And yet here we are!
36 Weeks was actually one of the few weeks I actually took a baby bump pic with Landon, so we can actually compare this week!

I think in this comparison pic I actually look bigger with Landon than I do this time around. Probably because I was bigger - I haven't been measuring big this time around.

Foods: I'll eat pretty much anything. The only thing that still grosses me out is the crust on my sandwiches. Yes, I still pull it off. Of course sweets (like cookies or muffins, not like candy), McDonalds, apples, and cereal always sound good, but I've tried to not eat just those things, ha ha. Actually I've been making lots of soups recently for dinner and freezing half the recipe for quick easy meals after she's born, and I've been thoroughly enjoying those.
Best moment this week: Having my 36 week appt today and getting to check my progress! Looks like Little Miss might stay put a little longer than her brother did - I was only dilated to 1 today as opposed to 3 1/2 like I was at 36 weeks with Landon. And that's actually fine with me if she's not crazy early!
Movement:  She's still quite the mover. Running out of room in there hasn't seemed to inhibit her gymnastics.
Labor signs: Still having the occasional BH contraction but still nothing regular. Good! And I guess being dilated to 1 is an early "labor sign" technically.
What I miss: Sleeping for a long stretch at a time. I've reached the point of waking up every hour or two having to switch sides because my hips hurt.
How I'm feeling: So excited about our little girl, but strangely relieved that she may wait until her due date and not come two weeks early. I just don't feel ready for her to be here two weeks from now! Haha, watch her come early now :)
Milestones: I now go into the doctor every week! Crazy!

And since I keep promising pictures of her nursery, I'll give you just a sneak peek - I'm hoping this weekend to get a lot of the finishing touches put up and get it ready for a full reveal. But here's the wall her crib is on:
There's no doubt whatsoever that this room belongs to a girl!! And just for the record, my wonderful husband was actually the one who suggested the brighter shade of pink; I didn't have to twist his arm into it at all!
And I need some honest opinions. Here's how I have the bumpers set in the crib right now:
So they're not all facing the same way because I hate the idea of wasting the cute design by having it face the wall along the back. But does it look weird having two of them with the design on the inside and two with the pink? Be honest.

In a sickness update our entire household now has the plague. Kyle came down with cold symptoms over the weekend. I was able to hold out for awhile but it caught up with me yesterday, so we're a pretty pathetic family right now. Landon has unfortunately had a very rough last couple of days - he had been still acting decently normal over the weekend despite being sick, but yesterday and today he's been not eating well, not sleeping well, being super whiny and also very clingy/snuggly (which is nice except when I don't feel good and need sleep too!) I took him to the doctor this morning too since he's been steadily running a 101-102.5 temp since Monday, and he didn't have an ear infection which is great. The doctor also said he didn't hear any congestion in his lungs, but he went ahead and prescribed an antibiotic in case he has some sort of sinus something. Remember taking that pink medicine as a kid? Landon's having his first experience with it! I'm really hoping it helps him feel better soon so we can get back to normal life. And did I mention that since my last post I discovered yet another molar coming in right next to his bottom one, bringing the count up to four (at least)? I'm sure glad this is happening BEFORE Little Miss arrives!

Tracy,
LOVE the pink walls! She will definitely be all girl! :) I think the bumpers look fine how they are...but what if you turned all of them with the flowers towards the inside? Then the cute design is seen all the way around and the pink would look good facing out too! Just a thought! Can't wait to meet your beautiful princess!!!

You're getting SO close! And I can't wait to see the rest of the pictures from the nursery. Little Miss is going to have a very girly and pink room to call her own.
