38 Weeks

Foods: I'm still hungry a lot, esp in the mornings, but for some reason this week I don't feel like I've been needing to eat as often as I used to. And I haven't gained any weight the past 2 weeks at my dr checkups, which seems weird. Biggest food craving was wanting to go to Olive Garden which we did for our date night tonight! Yum!
Best moment this week: Having my baby shower on Saturday! That was so much fun and made me really excited about my little girl!
Movement:  Uh yes. How she manages to move SO MUCH in such a crowded place just bewilders me. And she still has hiccups all the time.

Labor signs: Well, as of my doctor appt today I'm dilated to between 3 and 4 and 75% effaced. This past week she's also noticeably dropped lower (I can breathe better!) and contractions have picked up in frequency. In fact I've been having a LOT of contractions ever since my appt this afternoon, but nothing to go to the hospital over. We have an induction scheduled for March 2nd if she doesn't come before then, but I'm getting the feeling we won't be waiting that long (though I would genuinely be fine if we did!)

What I miss: Putting shoes and socks on. With Landon since I was huge pregnant in September I just wore my Fit Flops everywhere everyday, so this whole putting socks and shoes (especially boots) on thing has been quite the challenge. My body just doesn't bend in half anymore!
How I'm feeling: Such a strange mix of emotions! So so excited to meet my little girl and see what she looks like and snuggle her and introduce her to Landon. And actually feeling better about the state of our household to welcome her, although I'll take advantage of all the time I can to continue cleaning/organizing. This is the just the crazy phase of pregnancy where it's suspense all the time - will she come today? Maybe. But maybe not for another week. It's just crazy I tell you! But I'm still enjoying my time with Landon so much that I don't feel in such a rush for her to get here like I did waiting for him. Our doctor actually offered to let us induce earlier than the 2nd if we wanted to but I decided to stick with that appt, which surprised Kyle (he keeps giving her a pep talk every day to come out)
Milestones: Making it to Week 38 and not having her already is a milestone to me! Woo hoo! Between my baby shower Saturday and a personal shopping trip to Target on Sunday I think we have all the big necessities we need for her arrival, so yay again!
